{Month 6 ...and 7}

I'M SO BAD!! I've been falling so behind on her monthly pictures... I was falling so behind on shoots and editing.  I finally got caught up to be able to do her 6 AND 7 month post.  Smack me... I'll be better next month!

7 month pictures are at Grandma and Grandpa's house!  We get to stay here for 3 weeks before we move!

Missy is 7 months!  And the craziest part.... She has THREE teeth coming in on the top.  So in just a couple weeks, she will have 5 teeth already.  She's an early teether.  She's been having a hard time with the top ones... She's been super fussy at times and I think it's her teeth hurting..  I mean, if I had three coming in, I wouldn't be in the best mood either!

She LOVES:
- To swim! I've never seen a little girl love the water so much.
- Bathtime!  Again... water.
- Tigger! She is her momma's daughter
- Being thrown up in the air!  She gets the biggest smile.
- Checking herself out in the mirror.  She squeals and gives the mirror kisses.
- Eating a bottle!

She HATES:
- Getting boogers out of her nose.
- Cuddles most of the time.  She arches her back and wants to sit up.  Dang it...! :(  She'll only cuddle when she's eating a bottle, or when she's asleep.
- Getting in and out of a carseat.  I'm sorry missy!

She's the happiest, most energetic little girl I know!  She shows her excitement with her legs. haha! I just love watching her grow and grow!

We've been up to some fun things!  We've been to Lagoon, the Rec Center in Provo, Seven Peaks, Manti Pageant, celebrating the 4th of July, and getting new furniture for our new place!

If only you knew how much your momma loves you, Missy!!

Bayboo Blanket

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!  Hope it has started out as a GOOD Monday and not a typical Monday.... I finally get to catch up now that Little Miss is asleep!  (Thank goodness for naps.)
With the warm weather days happening now (keep them coming!) I want to go to the park more!  We have this perfect little park just right around the block that I love to go to.  I love going there on Sundays and playing board games with the hubs and now baby!
Having a little person there makes me need to pack about twice or tree times as many things as we used to.  We take diapers, in case of blow out (My biggest fear.... Being somewhere and she blows out and I don't have a diaper.) A bottle, in case she has a meltdown.  Toys, just in case she gets bored of playing our games. and of course, blankets so she can lay down on the grass and play!

I got some of these Bayboo Baby blankets.  So I decided to use these blankets for her to play on when we went to the park.   They can be used for swaddling newborns OR summer blankets to play on! They are perfect for both.  I love that the blanket part because Rylee isn't a huge fan of being swaddled.  Since the day she was born, she loves to sleep with her hands up by her head, so swaddling her just made her upset.
They are made of 100% organic material and are so lightweight, they take up hardly any room in the diaper bag (happy dance)!  They are super breathable which is glorious on the hot summer days! They're bright and colorful and just perfect for a boy or girl!

One of my very favorite things about this company is they've partnered with Compassion International, and for every purchase you make, they will donate 10% of that to help rescue babies and mothers in the developing world.

Your purchase will help preventing illness and providing children with a healthy start - just to name a few.  Learn more and watch the video here.

Here's the BEST part....
For a limited time, YOU can get a 15% discount off your purchase!!  Don't miss out, because these blankets have been selling like hot cakes, especially with the summer creeping up.  Just use the code TAELOR15 at checkout to receive that discount.  Don't miss out on it mommas!!!

Mine are already packed in my diaper bag ready to go.  And now after writing this, I really want to go to the park.  It's a beautiful day!  Looooove this warm weather.   So I think I'm going to take Miss and head!  Chau!

{Month 5} & Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mommas out there!  I know I know...  It's a little late, but hey.... shouldn't we be celebrated every day? :) I've been looking forward to this for a long time now.  Because I actually got to be the one celebrated.  It was a GOOD day!  We spent time with both of our families and be with our moms.  I was spoiled!  But I ain't complainin'. ;)

Also...... Missy is now 5 MONTHS OLD.

I. cannot. believe. it.

She has found her little piggies and loves to grab them when I change her diaper.  Which makes it a little more difficult!  It takes twice as long now, BUT that's okay!!  I'm soaking in every minute because I know it won't last forever.

BEST and saddest part is that she has two teeth already!!  I am still in shock.  We were at Payless one day and I had the stroller, so I pushed the bar down so it would tip her up and she could look up and see me.  I made her smile and I saw these two little white things just poking through.  I thought "Wait a minute....." did it again, and sure enough, TWO TEETH!  I almost cried right there in the store. She's getting too big too fast.  But she just gets more and more fun each month!

Her FAVORITE things:
*Blowing raspberries and getting her chin as slobbery as possible.
*Splashing in the tub!
*Munching on her toys, her fingers, her sleeves, her bouncer, and pretty much everything that can get in her mouth.
*Jumping up and down like crazy in her new bouncer! If you follow me on snapchat, you've seen the  hilarious videos. (If you don't, and want to... Shoot me a message!)
*Squealing as loud as she can.
*FOOD.  She knows what's comin' when she sees a bottle.  She starts kicking her legs!  And wants to grab it.  She tries putting it to her mouth, but just needs a little more practice.
*Getting thrown up in the air. Seriously - HUGE smile.
*Grabbing those piggies and trying to get them into her mouth.

She was right in the middle of a big squeal! haha

With Mother's Day coming and going, I got to think a lot about what a mother does and the sacrifices mothers make.  I thought about what my mom has done for me, and the things I want to pass on.  I've thought a lot about what being a mom means.  I've thought about the sleepless nights when we was first born, the many many feedings in the middle of the night.  The songs we sing together, letting my dinner get cold because she insisted she eats her dinner first.  Being a mom is definitely tough some days, but honestly, it is the BEST job in the whole wide world.  I would do it all over again.  She makes every sacrifice worth it!

This poem titled "Dear Lord" was perfect for Mother's Day.  I can relate to it so well, and bet you mommas can too. I will keep this forever and I thought I'd share it with you guys.....

Dear Lord
Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day
With little time to stop and pray
For life's been anything but calm
Since You called on me to be a mom
Running errands, matching socks
Building dreams with building blocks
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And other stuff that children lose
Fitting lids on bottled bugs
Wiping tears and giving hugs
A stack of last weeks mail to read
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute, Lord
Just at the sink or ironing board
To ask the blessings of Your grace
I see then, in my small one's face
That you have blessed me
All the while
And I stop to kiss
That precious smile

Just wanted to wish a Happy (late) Mother's Day to all you amazing mommas, mommas-to-be, and mommas-to-come. :)

{Month 4}

Well, I just blinked.....  She can't be 4 months already!!!  SLOW DOWN!!  I keep thinking that if I were pregnant and time was going this fast, I would be 4 months pregnant.  Then realize that I don't want to do it again for a whiiiiile.  I swear life was in slow motion when I was pregnant with her, now it's in fast forward!  I just want her to stay little forever...

The best thing about this month is that she learned how to GIGGLE!  I melt every. single. time.  If you follow my snapchat stories, you've probably seen more than one of them.  And by more than one, I mean like 400.  She loves her belly being tickled and her chin gnawed on with my lips.  She thinks it's the funniest thing!  And that laugh.... can brighten anybody's day in an instant.  Oh man.... and her thigh rolls have come in nice and squishy!!!  Can you tell I'm crazy about her or what???

She has this attitude of thinking she is the coolest thing when she kicks around in her bouncer.  She gets this serious look and gets her arms into it and kicks like crazy!  She should be a baton twirler (or marcher?) because that's exactly how she looks. Ha ha!!!  Okay look at that face.

It's been such a wonderful four months it has been! She loves to stand and I think has started to find her voice.  Just today, she was screaming and chattering right after I fed her.  I just know that it is going to happen during church - during SACRAMENT.... Oh boy.  Have mercy on us sister!

HER favorite things:
*Her fists
*Her fingers
*Getting her diaper changed - don't ask me why.  She just busts a huge smile every single time and kicks those chunky legs!
*Going for rides in her stroller!  She's a big girl riding facing front without the carseat now.  She LOVES it.
*Her fists
*Her Tigger blanket.  If she's in the car - never fails - when I look back after she's fallen asleep, that blanket is covering her face!  She munches on it whenever she can grab it.
*BATHTIME!
*Being held up high horizontal!  She will giggle while she munches on her fist.  I just know I'm going to get drool or sit up on me one of these times.
*Her fists

OUR favorite things:
*Watching her expressions
*Watching her grow - it's a love/hate relationship...
*Doing everything we can to get those giggles come out
*Good morning smiles!  That little girl sure knows how to start my day off happy!
*Those giggles!
*Being her parents. BEST JOB IN. THE. WORLD.
*Rompers, rompers, rompers!  They kill me and I just think she ROCKS IT in those outfits.

Rylee, thanks for brightening our day every morning!  Thanks for making us smile 24/7!  Thank you for sleeping through the night!! Even though she thinks we wanna play at 6:00AM now... We fall in love with you more and more every day.  Your little personality is coming out and I love it!  You're definitely a daddy's girl, but you're mommy's best bud!  We are so lucky that you chose US to be your parents.  Now just please stop growing. :(

Also, I've decided to include BLOOPERS!!! Enjoy. :)
Her clothes are soaked under her chin at the end of the day.  This is why!

Dad has the magic touch at making her smile.
She has yet to perfect the "sit".

The last frame before ACHOO! Hahaha

Happy 4 months of life, my sweet girl.

{Month 3}

What?! No.... She's not 3 months already is she?!  I know I say this every time, but seriously... I can't believe she's 3 months!  I swear I was in the hospital just yesterday. Time needs to slow down...

There are many times where I'm holding her, I think about how tiny she used to be.  Jeff's arms used to just engulf her when he held her.  Now she's doubled in size!!

We had to move up to a size 1 diaper a couple days ago - so she's finally out of everything newborn, which kills me.  There was a day where my mom and I went to Carter's (DANGEROUS store.... let me tell you) and there was one of my favorite newborn outfits on clearance, so I had to buy it in a 3 month size so she could wear it all over again! Yes, I'm one of THOSE moms... ;)

Little miss LOVES:
Attention attention attention!
Munching on her hands and fingers.
Trying to stick her whole fist in her mouth.
Sticking out her tongue and licking her shirts.
Kisses on the lips (when dad kisses her cheek, she moves her head so they get a lip kiss!)
Kicking like CRAZY on her changing pad.
Seeing mom or dad's face right after she wakes up (seriously - she smiles SO big in the morning and after naps)

Mom and dad LOVES:
Seeing that adorable smile every day.
That she sleeps through the night (thank you thank you thank you!!!)
Snuggles after she eats.
Watching her kick her guts out!
Chatting back and forth!
Squishing her thunder thighs.

She is such a good baby.  She's so happy and smiley!  And she puts up with me kissing her 20,000 times a day!  But how could I not?  I mean look at those cheeks.

We've started going on walks almost every morning and she loves it.  She gets to look around and go for a ride!  (Who wouldn't?!)  She is SO STINKING CLOSE to laughing.  I keep telling myself that it's going to be next week that she finally laughs.  Not yet....  It's any day now.  She does huge smiles then does a little noise, but not quite a laugh yet.  I can't wait to see what the first thing is that makes her finally laugh!

Here are a few pictures of what we have done this past month! We played with toys, we enjoyed warm weather, we went on walks, and just had FUN!

She dressed herself today. ;)

Enjoying the warm weather!  Check out the grip on my hair..
It's an all day-everyday thing.
Playing with toys is exhausting!

It's crazy how much love there is for someone so small.  I never knew how much a mom loves their children until I had one of my own.   It's a love that is so incomprehensible.  Words don't even begin to describe how much I love this munchkin.  Being a mom is the best thing in the entire world.  I can't imagine my life without her.  Month 3 snuck up on me too quickly, and I'm sure I will be posting about month 4 next week...

{Month 2}

Little Miss is TWO MONTHS old already?!  Whaaaat!  It's so crazy to think how fast these months have flown and how slow they dragged while I was pregnant with her.  She was blessed yesterday (different post about that coming soon) by her dad and what a beautiful blessing it was.  We had all of our family and closest friends over.  It was definitely an experience I will never forget.

Well, t's official... We are out of newborn clothes an into 0-3M AND 3M clothes.  I was in denial for so long (and still am with some outfits) and can't make myself put the newborn clothes away just yet.  The only thing that is still newborns are her diapers.  We tried a "1" size on her and thankfully they are still a little big.  :)

The second month has been so much fun because she started to smile and coo!  Her smiles light up the whole room and melts my heart.  My favorite time of day is right when she wakes up because that's when she's smiling the most!

Good morning sunshine!

Today was a big day!  She had her two month appointment.  They weighed her and she now weighs a whopping... wait for it...... 10 lbs 12 oz! And is now 22" long She's not so little anymore.... :(  Ya know, I have a real problem with her growing up so fast... SLOW DOWN MISSY!  This appointment was the one where she had to get her first shots... three in her legs. Goodness it was hard to watch. It took her a couple seconds after until she screamed bloody murder..  It was so sad!  I've never heard her cry like that.  Poor girl.  So we've had extra cuddles today.

I must've broken some record for how many photos I've taken of her.  It has to be in the millions (as you can tell by all my posts) by now! She's probably sick of me trying to get her to smile with a camera in her face.  But I can't help it....! All you moms out there understand I'm sure. :)

My favorite things:
Watching her face light up when she smiles
Her scrunch-nose-tongue-out smile
When it's just her and me rocking together and snuggling
Dancing to music in the living room
Kissing those dang kissable chubby cheeks!
Just... Everything...!

Her favorite things:
Snuggles on mom and dad's chest
Kicking one leg at a time (it's so hilarious, she puts her arms into it too!) and kicks so fast
Warm baths
Her bouncer - seriously, she talks and smiles and kicks on it every day!
Her binky - I get a smile out of her every time I tap it on her lips
Playing patty cake

She also loves to make crazy faces.

I fall in love with this girl over and over again.  It's been such an adventure being her mom.  She's my miracle, and I can't imagine my life without her!  Now stop growing Rylee bug, okay??

{The First Month}

Wow....  A MONTH has gone by already since little Rylee bug came into the world!  I still can't believe it.  It seemed like while I was pregnant, time was just dragging by.... And now that she's here, time has just zipped by!  I don't know how I feel about that just yet... I want her to stay little forever.

This past month has been the most wonderful month of my life.  She's brought a special light into our home and she's made me laugh so many times (especially her sneezes.  I can't get enough!).  It's been such a joy watching her learn and grow!

Everyone who has seen her when she was born and then seen her again recently says how much she has changed.  They say that her face has really filled out, her head is getting a little bigger,  she's getting chunkier and she's longer.  I don't see it!  She still looks like my little "punkin".  However, her little pajamas are getting a little short.  They used to drown her and her little legs would get caught up by her belly - but now, the legs in her pajamas seem shorter to me. ;)  She can't straighten her legs all the way.  My little girl is growing so fast already!

She LOVES:
Snuggles with mom and dad.
Baths - especially when the warm water trickles on her belly.
Her bouncer - I can stick her in there and she'll be asleep for hours!
Chugging milk.  She's such a messy eater!  She chugs faster than she can swallow sometimes.
Looking at lights
Munching on her binkies.
Car rides!  She sleeps the whole way.

She HATES:
Moving from the bathtub to the towel - SO COLD!
Being hungry - she will get so mad if we let her cry for a little while.
Her car seat --- only sometimes! :)

Come to think of it, there isn't really anything that she hates.  She's such a good baby and is happy! She is sooooo close to smiling.  We've seen a handful already but we can't figure out if they are the gassy smiles or ACTUAL smiles.  But let me tell you, she's got the cutest smile in the world.  One that can just melt your heart.  I will get a shot of it soon, promise!

There is nothing quite like being a mom.  I have taken about 20,000 photos and videos of her,  changed 1,000 diapers, and given her 3 million kisses!  But that's what moms are supposed to do, right??
Right in the middle of a sneeze!

Love you so much, miss Rylee!
